I've started this blog (among my many attempts at blogging) to share my thoughts on recordings. I kind of want to keep it separate from my musings because I want to be able to define this as legitimate.
Everyone who knows me pretty well knows that I have strong, but usually well-formed opinions about recorded music and am always (a little more than) happy to share my thoughts. I think this will be a good spot for me to give thoughts on widely released music, but also (and perhaps more importantly) music that is made by people who may not otherwise have their music reviewed. I know a lot of people who put out music, and so I'm interested in giving them third-party comments for potential listeners.
All genres will be covered. All levels of recording will be covered. This is open season!
I'll be starting with an EP from a great drummer I got to work with a few times during my tenure at Berklee. Look for that tomorrow!
